Meet Josette Langevine
Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Josette Langevine moved to California to attend Stanford University, where she received both her undergraduate degree in Political Science and a graduate degree in Communication. After falling in love with the beauty, diversity, and weather of California, she now calls it her home.
Josette grew up in a Christian family, where she accepted Christ at a young age. She worked for over 10 years in corporate and financial roles after grad school, but a transformational experience led her to turn her focus to non-profit work. She is passionate about Jesus, people, stories, and coconut oil.
She loves walking, hiking, volunteering, and of course her sweet dog, Ethel!

A Faith Journey
On Easter morning, March 27, 2016, Josette Langevine’s life turned upside-down. The Stanford graduate, found herself collapsed on a jet bridge in Hong Kong, from a DVT, heart attack and stroke. The stroke affected the broca area of her brain, leaving her unable to speak, write, or read. This book details her recovery and faith journey as she shifted her focus from her selfish desires to God’s faithful leading.
For Ms. Langevine, her stroke became her saving grace. It Is What It Is: A Faith Journey, illustrates the power of walking with God and the inevitable joy that resulted. Reaching audiences through her podcast, Jojo & Boogs: Unexpected Hope, and book, she hopes to use both platforms as an encouragement for others seeking God’s leading and path.
